In continuation of its efforts to strengthen the police-public relations and to bring people nearer to the police in District Budgam, a police public meeting was held by DO Humhama at PP Humhama on the directions of SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh.
In the meeting large number of prominent citizens and traders from Galwanpora, Sheshgari, Hyderpora and adjoining areas participated.
The main objective of the meeting was to aware the general public about the recent incidents of alleged braid chopping and consequent law and order problems and drug menace. The police seek cooperation from the public for the investigation of braid chopping cases and to avoid law and order problem.
Speaking on the occasion DO Humhama said that such meetings are conducted to solicit the suggestion and support for better policing and would be conducted in the future as well.
He also thanked the people for participating in the meeting and providing valuable suggestions.
Referring to the grievance highlighted by the participates DO Humhama said that these grievances and suggestions will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal.
Meanwhile Locals hailed the efforts of the police.
